In 1997, Helene and Elizabeth An opened Crustacean Beverly Hills, home of AN’s Famous Garlic Noodles & Roasted Crab™. After opening, Crustacean was heralded by Esquire magazine as one of the top 10 restaurants and has been lauded ever since by the press worldwide for its award winning architectural design featuring the now famous “walk on water” entrance. The serpentine aquarium winds through the cocktail lounge of the restaurant, guiding guests to the multi-level veranda dining room showcasing its 30 foot high vaulted ceilings. It quickly became one of Los Angeles’ hottest restaurants and the spot for celebrity sightings.

The family’s secret kitchen and cuisine has been featured in People, InStyle, Town & Country, Bon Appetit, Wine Spectator, Wall Street Journal, Los Angeles Times, and seen on CNN and Oprah.

In 2007 the An Family was inducted into the Vietnamese-American wing of the Smithsonian Institute for being one of the first to bring Vietnamese cuisine to mainstream America.

Crustacean’s refined yet warm hospitality style has been the perfect host to wedding recepTons, Golden Globe and Oscar parties, Industry events or a special intimate dinner. Crustacean can seat up to 250 guests or 400+ cocktail for full buyouts as well as partial buyouts. We offer a Wine Spectator Award Winning wine list as well as a Mixologist crafted cocktail menu.
